Bio: She was born blind to a family suffering from poverty. To save her parents from starvation she left her home at the age of 7 years, forcing herself to learn to survive on her own. Far from home, an elderly shopkeeper found her half-alive and took in Daya and raised her as his own. He also taught her ways to cope with her blindness so it was no longer a hinderance, thus the staff she carries for the uncommon purpose of finding her way around and to fight when neccessary. Now at the age of 25, Daya has taken over for the shopkeeper in his old age and makes less than living because of the rise of a greedy dictator in one of the two royal families. Her skills and street smarts make her a force to be reckoned with unlike lowly theives. If there's one thing she doesn't know, it's what happens in the shadows and beyond the walls of royal lands, and why. Perhaps if she can find out, she may be able to find her birth parents and save them.

Personality: Daya is a kind-hearted and compassionate person. Her first years in a life of poverty has aided her understanding in the harshness of the real world and the struggles of many people in it. Though she can be harsh, she has a sense of mercy. However, she doesn't let it cloud her judgement in any case and there are few things she has heart enough to utterly hate. Daya doesn't have a very high self-esteem and thinks of herself as unimportant in comparison to others. She has little interest in a love life due to her disbelief it will ever come. After all, who would want to love a blind girl who doesn't know her own face?


This is a main character in another story of mine (has yet to be actually written) called "Assassin". And yes, it is anthro based. After working on my book "Gillan", I realize how fun it is to have something that doesn't revolve around humans.
Basically, this character and the one that reminds me of Kisame from "Naruto" are results of boredom evolving into a pretty neat idea that came from thinking about the movie Ninja Assassin. And NO I'm not basing the story off that movie! I may unintentionally be unoriginal sometimes, but I know what to avoid once I've seen it already! Anyway, this is the second character I've drawn for the story. You can probly guess who the first is then
Another thing, I haven't had the time to think of color schemes for Daya or the other character yet. I'll get to that once I start writing the story, so that's why this is a WIP as will the other.

Me: Can totally rip people limb from limb?
Kisame: Yes...
Me: So you're like a dog, tuna-boy.
