No Matter What

This is actually an illustration of a scene in one of the future chapters (in book 2, which has not been written yet). It's also my first time drawing wolf cubs with this style, so NO CRITICIZING!!
The two cubs are Kaya(second to front) and Pine(back). The wolf in front is a character named Thunder Horse. You'll get the point of the title when I start posting chapters from 22.

Thunder Horse is Elmwood's brother. They may be littermates, but at this point in time, they are exact opposites. Thunder Horse follows the orders he's given by the alpha unless he sees them as wrong. His fur is all black. It just looks grayish here cuz that particular color is a pain in the @$$ to control. Basically, he's protecting Kaya and Pine from danger. What kind, you'll have to wait and read to find out.

Being my spirit guide symbol is the WOLF, I stand by these next words. They speek of the distance between most humans and all wolves. And I know I am not excluded from this.

You call us evil.
You say that we redden our paws
with the blood of your kind.
You judge us all by the ever few
misguided paws of the ill and desperate.
And yet.
You MURDER our kind as well as well as your own
by the thousands per moon.
River upon river flows with the blood
your kind as shed.
As well, you attack the innocent
where we seek to perserve it.
When we make our final stand,
it will not be our paws that are reddened.
But your hearts and souls that are
eternally blackened.
