Okay, so I saw there's supposed to be a another Lion King sequel and another TV series based off it too. Here's the journal by GothiCraft ---> dragon-art14.deviantart.com/jo… I thought "Cool, hopefully it will be as good the first movies." My only concern of course is there was no mention of Kovu (Kiara's mate in the second movie). So hopefully they will feature him too.
But then I saw someone's comment where they stated "It was called Kimba the White Lion until Disney ripped it off and started calling it The Lion King."
This is my response to that on here since I can't post it there (HAHA my rant is too long for the reply box).
I don't know where they got that idea, but Kimba the White Lion is nothing like The Lion King. I have seen all the episodes and none of them are even close to the storyline of Lion King or vise versa. Their stories don't begin or even play out similarly in ANY significant way, shape, or form.
First of all, Kimba's father was dead before he was even born (killed by a hunter), then his mother died in a shipwreck soon after she was captured and had given birth to Kimba in a cage, and THEN Kimba had to swim to a freaking island ALONE and live ALONE for a while until he somehow convinced the animals of the jungle to make him their king because they didn't believe he was who he said he was. The story goes from there. At one point he even talked to people (which was rather odd and unrealistic). This takes place primarily in a JUNGLE. Also, Kimba is white with black tipped ears.
As for Simba, he was born ON THE SAVANNAH in Africa at what the lions called Pride Rock. His mother and father were both alive at the time. Simba didn't have to go anywhere, he was born in his home with a whole pride of lions. Later his father was killed by a rampaging herd of wildebeasts that his uncle Scar and the hyena's staged as an accident so Scar could be king, then Scar chased of Simba by saying it was his fault his father was dead. So after running away, being rescued by Timon and Pumbaa, and growing up in the jungle for some of his life, he and his friends go back and challenge Scar and the hyenas and he finally becomes King like he should have been all along. There were NO humans at all in ANY of the movies. And Simba is a tan color with no other significant markings.
Saying something is ripped off is implying it is strikingly similar/the same to something else in more than a few minor aspects. The only similarities are the fact they're fathers died, they were both destined to be king, and their name. However, Kimba is an Australian name meaning "bushfire" and Simba is a Swahili name meaning "lion" (surprise, surprise). Just because their names are similar save for the first letter, doesn't mean they were ripped off.
So in case you don't believe me, watch these animations side by side, and/or do your research, and TELL me they are the same.
If you haven't seen something before but see one or two little details that make two things seem similar, and that is ALL you are going on, and pop off with "OH THEY RIPPED IT OFF," just shut up. You most likely don't know what you're talking about but are trying to make everyone think you are just so you can get attention. Unless you know what you're talking about and have weighed ALL the FACTS firsthand, keep your rather idiotic opinions to yourself.
That is all, and thank you.
Good day, sirs and madams.

Something Important
You know, guys, something that's been on my mind lately (and weird that I want to say it now at 2-some-odd AM rather than a reasonable hour tomorrow) is that, I've come to realize that it's rare -and somewhat unlikely- that friends will actually be there for each other as much as they promise they will.
Sure, I know I've done everything I could to be here and support my friends. And while I truly believed all those things about how "true friends will always be there for you and never let you down" and blah blah blah, I can't say that I can believe that in any semblance of confidence anymore. I'm back to being the faceless "internet friend" t

I lost my home, most of my family ties, I've witnessed deaths I can never unsee or unhear, I've nearly gotten killed myself several times within the last year, I'm virtually trapped several states away from the family I have left while I trudge through college, and it's feeling like I just may lose my closest and dearest friends here soon. Over a bloody minor misunderstanding that they won't even hear me out on. On top of that I found out I'm developing fibromayalgia, which is a lifelong condition. And if my mother's case is anything to go by it won't be that much longer until I'm utterly living in physical stabbing pains.

Get back into writing stuff for the Akatsuki. Frankly my favorite characters have been there for me when no one else has (not even my friends who are currently not my favorite people right now), and I'm tired of all the bloody, petty, and unnecessary drama that's been going on in my life for the last week.
I had a lot of drive for comics for my friends, but I don't have it anymore. So maybe I can get back into comics for the Akatsuki since I haven't done that in ages? And my style has improved immensely as far as consistency, aesthetics, and speed are concerned, so like

I'm in the middle of class but because the teacher is boring the hell out of me I'm going through all the groups I'm currently a part of and leaving most of them. I know I'm not on deviantart a lot anymore, but when I am I don't like coming back to 90,000 notifications that have nothing to do with me that I also don't really care much about anymore.
Everyone has amazing art, everyone's a great artist and everyone is valid. But ah- lol- I just don't have time to go through ALL of those notifications and I don't ever have the patience to go through all of them.
SO, thank y'all, who's groups I have been a part of all these years, it's been nic

Thank you! I am so sick of this controversy! People are always too quick to attack something that's immensely popular, even if it doesn't deserve it.
